aava is a design concept: a connected dive mask and breathing unit, imagined as one system. With no product to photograph, the site had to make the idea feel real.
aava imagines a dive system built around one feeling: the moment the surface feels a world away and your attention opens up.
Concept work is easy to get wrong online. Too little and it reads as a moodboard, too much and it starts pretending to be a product you can buy.
Our mission? Treat it like a product launch without ever claiming it is one. Cinematic descent, an exploded study of the mask, and an interface that says plainly that it shows no live dive data.
Product design concept

Deep ocean blues moving from surface light to depth as you scroll, with a single warm accent so the calls to action never get lost in the blue.
The descent is the spine of the page. Scroll and the water darkens, the interface elements settle at the edges, and the mask is left in the centre.
An exploded study breaks the design into three honest claims: a continuous lens, a titanium surround, a sculpted silicone seal. No spec sheet for a thing that has not been made.
Hand-built, no framework. The descent is a scroll-scrubbed video sequence with a pause control, because a page that moves this much has to let people stop it.
The orientation interface is drawn in SVG and labelled as illustrative, so nobody mistakes a concept for instrumentation.
