Bright minds. Brighter futures.

Web design & development · Media · 2026

An education recruitment agency in Birmingham placing teachers in schools and young people into their first jobs. Two audiences, one site, and not a stock photo of a handshake anywhere.

BrightMinds are a supply teaching agency with fifteen years in education recruitment. They place staff into schools, they help candidates find work that suits them, and they run a youth employment programme for 16 to 24 year olds.

The old site had all three of those buried in one page of paragraphs, with a hero built out of clip art. Nobody could tell in five seconds which of the three they were.

Our mission? Split the site by who you are the moment you land, keep it warm and human, and let illustration do the work photography could not.

Website design

The brand red carries the whole page, broken by a cream band and a charcoal close, so the site reads as three clear moves rather than a scroll of sections.

The client’s own illustrated characters line the bottom of the hero and reappear through the page: a teacher, a scientist, a footballer, an artist. Drawn rather than photographed, which keeps the site cheerful and keeps it honest.

Three doors, one decision: for schools, for candidates, for young people. Everything after that is written for whichever door you walked through.

Website development

One page, hand-built, no framework and no build step. GSAP and ScrollTrigger drive the reveals, the characters rise into the hero on load, and the whole thing is a folder of files that loads in under a second.

Kollektif for the display type, Host Grotesk for everything else, and SVG characters that stay razor sharp at any size without shipping a single heavy image.
