A new home online for Wiltshire Rugs.

A one-woman workshop in Melksham turning carpet offcuts into bespoke rugs, runners and stair runners. The work was beautiful. The website was a page builder. We fixed the second part.

Wiltshire Rugs is Eleanor: a small independent business in Melksham that transforms carpet into beautifully finished bespoke rugs, runners and stair runners, whipped or tape edged by hand, in hundreds of colours.

The old site was a builder template: a logo, four paragraphs of text and a row of icons. It said what she did, but nothing about how good she is at it, and on a phone it was a wall of words.

Our mission? Build a site that feels like the finished rug, not the offcut. Show the craft first, make the tape and edging choices easy to understand, and get people to pick up the phone.

Website design

The homepage opens with two words at full width, Bespoke Rugs, set in IvyPresto with a rug tucked under the letters. Move your mouse and the rug unrolls. It is the whole business in one gesture.

Warm neutrals and a deep green, drawn from the wool and tape Eleanor actually uses, with photography of real edging, real stairs and real hallways instead of stock.

Six pages, one clear route: see the work, understand the two ways to finish an edge, talk to Eleanor.

Website development

Hand-built with GSAP, ScrollTrigger and Lenis smooth scroll. No framework, no build step, no plugins to update: the whole site runs from a folder and loads in under a second.

The hero rug is a 121-frame image sequence scrubbed by mouse position on desktop and by scroll on touch. Headings split into lines after the fonts load so nothing jumps. The gallery filters and lightbox are a few dozen lines of GSAP, not a plugin.

I can't believe how they've built me the most professional and stylish site imaginable.

I recently started a rug-making business from home, specialising in stair runners, indoor and outdoor rugs, mats, and hallway runners, and needed a new website to promote the venture. I found Bare Creative online. The process was so simple. I just had to send them an overview of my business and leave the rest to them. The branding, images, and menu structure are very elegant, and capture the essence of what I do perfectly.

Within days of the site launching, I'd already had six high-quality leads from local carpet shops and fitters, all pledging to use my services immediately.

No matter your sector or business aspirations, I cannot recommend Jack and Carly highly enough. They've transformed my digital presence in just a couple of weeks. The very best service you could ever imagine.
