Websites for construction firms.

Websites for contractors, builders, specialist installers and construction consultancies. Project pages that prove the work, accreditations where buyers look for them, and a clear route for enquiries and tenders. From £995, or £95 a month.

Who reads a construction website, and why

We build websites for construction firms and the specialists who work alongside them. We look after the sites for emesen, a project and cost management consultancy in Bristol and Cardiff, Hoistway, who install and maintain lifts, Comfinity, data cabling installers working across the UK, and JR Renovations, a building and refurbishment company in Trowbridge.

A construction website is rarely the first contact. A main contractor, a facilities manager or a homeowner hears your name, then checks the site for work like theirs, proof you are accredited for it, and a person to talk to. Firms that tender get read a second time at the shortlist stage, sometimes by people who have never met you.

What a construction site needs

  • Projects with substanceEach project gets its own page: the client, the brief, the photographs, what you did. emesen leads with named schemes, Plot A at Silverthorne Lane, Origin Workspace and the National Composite Centre among them.
  • Case studies and a galleryHoistway has a case studies section and a gallery. Photographs from your own sites beat stock images, even when they are taken on a phone.
  • Accreditations and standardsCertifications, trade bodies, insurance and the standards you work to, on a page of their own and beside the work. Comfinity names the cabling standards it installs, sector by sector.
  • A page for each service and sectorNew lifts, modernisation and maintenance. Data cabling, fibre and wifi. Buyers search for the job, so each one needs its own page.
  • CareersMost construction firms are hiring most of the time. Hoistway has a careers page, and a jobs board can sit on your site from £495.
  • An enquiry route that fits the jobA phone number at the top, a short enquiry form, and for bigger jobs a way to send plans or documents with the enquiry.

How it works

  1. TalkA call or a site visit. The work you want more of, and who decides to hire you.
  2. StructureServices, sectors and projects mapped out and agreed before any design.
  3. DesignYou see the design and shape it before a line of code is written.
  4. LaunchBuilt, tested on phones, old page addresses moved across, and live. Send us new project photos and we add them.

★★★★
When it came to an easy and prompt web site build, I was recommended Jack at Cloud Web Solutions by my sister. He was responsive, imaginative and has moved quickly to fix the usual site hiccups, including email operation. So very happy with Cloud Web.

This page or our trades page?

If you are a sole trader or a small team taking local jobs, our page on websites for tradesmen is the better fit: tap to call, a page for each job, the towns you cover, from £95 a month.

This page is for firms that win work from businesses, main contractors and public bodies, where the site has to hold up when a buyer is comparing you with two other firms.

Around construction

We also look after the sites for AEF, who lend to builders and developers buying land for new homes, and BLM Estate Management, who manage blocks and estates for freeholders, developers and leaseholders across the South West. For the lending side, see our page on websites for financial advisers and brokers.

Questions

How much does a construction company website cost?

£995 for five pages or £95 a month, £1,795 or £169 a month for ten pages, and from £2,995 for larger sites with many projects. Prices exclude VAT, and unlimited updates and support are included.

Can we add new projects ourselves?

You can, and you do not have to. Send us photographs and a few lines about the job and we put the project page up as part of the plan.

Do you take the photographs?

We can arrange a photographer for finished schemes, or work with photos from your own sites and tell you honestly which ones to reshoot.

Can the site take drawings or tender documents?

Yes. An enquiry form can take attachments, and documents such as a capability statement or your certificates can be downloaded from their own page.

Do you build websites for construction consultancies as well as contractors?

Yes. emesen is a project and cost management consultancy, and their site leads with the schemes they have worked on.

How long does a construction website take?

Most take six to twelve weeks from the first call to going live. Gathering project photographs and details is usually the longest part.
