Websites for charities and community groups.

Websites for charities, community groups, CICs and member organisations. Events people can book, a clear way to volunteer or join, and the work you do shown properly. From £995, or £95 a month.

What a charity website is for

We build and look after websites for Bath Recreation, a self-funded sport and recreation charity in Bath, BMSLG, the volunteer-led Bristol Muslim Strategic Leadership Group, South West Community Business Hub, a community interest company in Somerset, and the Unit4 UK User Group, a members' organisation run by an elected council.

Each needs its site to do something different. BMSLG fills a conference and recruits volunteers. Bath Recreation explains its programmes, its grounds and how it is governed. The user group signs up members and runs events around the country. What they share is a small team with little spare time, so the site has to be easy to keep current, and someone has to answer when it needs changing.

What a charity site needs

  • One clear ask per pageDonate, volunteer, join or book. The button says what happens when you press it.
  • Events people can bookBMSLG's site carries the Bristol Muslim Conference, with the agenda, the speakers and a booking link, and the booking section takes itself down after the day.
  • Volunteers and membersA short form, a plain description of what you are asking, and who will get back to them. The Unit4 UK User Group puts Become a Member in its main menu.
  • Your impact, shown plainlyWhat you did last year, in numbers and in people's words. BMSLG has an Our Impact page and a directory of Muslim organisations in Bristol.
  • Governance where funders lookTrustees, policies and your registration details on their own pages. Bath Recreation sets out its people, governance and policies.
  • DonationsA donate button linked to the giving platform you already use, with Gift Aid explained next to it.

How it works

  1. TalkWho the site is for: donors, volunteers, members, funders and the people you help.
  2. StructureThe pages, and the one action each should lead to, agreed before any design.
  3. DesignYour trustees or committee see the design and shape it before a line of code is written.
  4. LaunchBuilt, tested on phones, and live. Then send us the next event and it goes up.

Easy to keep current

The thing that goes wrong on most charity websites is not the design. It is the news page last touched two years ago, and the event that already happened. Every plan includes unlimited updates, so you email us the change, the new trustee or next month's event, and we put it up. If you would rather do some of it yourselves, the site is easy to edit.

Found by the people you help

People look for help, a club or a volunteering role by searching for the thing and the place. Each programme or service gets its own page with a plain answer at the top. If you want more help being found on Google and by AI assistants, our SEO plans start at £99 a month.

Questions

How much does a charity website cost?

£995 for five pages or £95 a month, £1,795 or £169 a month for ten pages, and from £2,995 for larger sites. Prices exclude VAT, and unlimited updates and support are included.

Can people donate through the website?

Yes. We add a donate button linked to the giving platform you already use, with Gift Aid explained beside it.

Can we take event bookings?

Yes. The site can link to your ticketing system or take bookings through a form. BMSLG's conference page links to its booking and hides the booking section once the day has passed.

Can volunteers and members sign up online?

Yes. A short form goes straight to the right person, on a page that explains what you are asking of them.

Do you work with groups that are not registered charities?

Yes. BMSLG is a volunteer-led group, South West Community Business Hub is a community interest company, and the Unit4 UK User Group is a members' organisation.

Who updates the site?

We do, as part of the plan, or you can edit it yourselves.
