Websites for architects and interior designers.

Websites for architecture practices, interior designers and garden designers, built around the work. Generous project pages, careful type, fast on a phone, and nothing that competes with the photographs. From £995, or £95 a month.

The work has to do the talking

A client choosing an architect or an interior designer is choosing taste. They look at the projects, then at how the projects are presented, and the second one tells them as much as the first. A cramped template with a portfolio grid of thumbnails undersells work that took years.

We are a design studio, so this is the brief we most enjoy: a site with the restraint to get out of the way of the work, project pages with room to breathe, and the practical things, enquiries and credentials, exactly where they should be.

What's included

  • Project pages with roomFull-width photography, drawings and plans where they help, a short story of the brief and the result, and the next project one tap away.

  • Fast on a phoneBig photographs that still load quickly, because most first visits happen on a phone between meetings.
  • Credentials in viewARB and RIBA details, awards and press, shown where clients look for them without shouting.

How it works

  1. TalkA call or a visit. The projects you are proudest of, the clients you want next, and what the site has to do.
  2. StructureThe projects and pages mapped out, agreed before any design.
  3. DesignYou see the design and shape it before a line of code is written. For a design-led client we expect strong opinions, and we welcome them.
  4. LaunchBuilt, tested on phones, old page addresses moved across, and live. Then Carly looks after it.

Work where craft comes first

Wiltshire Rugs is a one-woman workshop making bespoke rugs and stair runners. The site opens on two words and a rug that unrolls as you move, and shows the craft before it says a word. That is the approach we bring to practices whose work deserves the same treatment.

Recent projects

  • Wiltshire RugsA one-woman workshop in Melksham, moved off a page builder.
  • Lewis Pet CareA UK online vet. A refreshed brand and a website with booking on every page.
  • EquiPlayA cricket analytics platform. We rebuilt the brand and the site around one idea.

Brand and website from one studio

Many practices come to us with a logo they have outgrown. We design brands as well as websites, from £995: a wordmark, a palette and a type system that suit the work, carried through the site, the drawings and the proposals, so the practice looks like one considered thing.

Found for the work you want

Architects and designers win most work by recommendation, and the website's first job is to confirm it. Its second is to be found for the projects you want more of: a search for an architect for a barn conversion in Somerset, or an interior designer for a boutique hotel. Project pages written around the type of work and the place do that quietly over time, and our SEO plans from £99 a month can push it along.

Questions

How much does an architect's website cost?

£995 for a five page site, or £95 a month with no setup fee. Ten pages are £1,795 or £169 a month, and a larger portfolio site from £2,995. Prices exclude VAT, and unlimited updates and support are included.

Will the site handle large photographs?

Yes. Images are prepared at the right sizes for each screen, so the photographs stay sharp and the pages stay fast.

Can we add projects ourselves?

You can, and you do not have to. Send us the photographs and a paragraph and the project page goes up as part of the plan.

Do you build websites for interior designers and garden designers?

Yes. The brief is the same: let the work lead, keep the type and spacing careful, and make enquiring easy.

Do you design brands as well?

Yes. Brands start at £995, and designing the brand and the website together gives a practice one coherent look.

How long does it take?

Most practice websites take six to twelve weeks from the first conversation to going live. Gathering the project photography is usually the longest part.
