Pay monthly or pay upfront?
Paying upfront costs less over the first year. Paying monthly spreads the cost, keeps the site looked after without a separate bill, and includes a complete redesign after two years. Most websites are bought once and then left to age until they need replacing. On a Bare monthly plan the site is looked after every month, changes are made whenever you ask, and after two years it is redesigned and rebuilt at no extra cost.
The minimum term is 12 months, then it rolls month to month. Your domain, your content and your data are yours whatever you decide.

What it costs over three years
Here is the same site both ways on our own prices. A five page site paid once is £995, with the first year of care included, then a £29 a month care plan: £1,691 over three years. The same site monthly is £95 a month: £3,420 over three years. For ten pages it is £2,971 against £6,084, and for the larger sites £4,891 against £10,044. Prices exclude VAT.
So paying once costs less, and the monthly payments pass the one-off price in month 11. What the monthly plan buys is cash kept in the business and a complete redesign and rebuild after 24 months, which on a pay-once site would be a new invoice.

Is there a setup fee?
No. There are no setup fees on any Bare plan.
How long is the contract?
Monthly websites have a 12 month minimum term, then roll month to month.
What happens if I leave?
After the 12 month minimum you can cancel. Your site runs on our own CMS, which stays with us, but we can give you an HTML copy of the site, and your domain, content and data are always yours.
Do I own my website?
Your domain, content and data are always yours.
What counts as an unlimited update?
Content and page changes: words, images, prices, people, new sections on existing pages. Brand new features and custom development are quoted separately.
Is a pay monthly website worth it?
It is if you would rather spread the cost and never face another redesign bill: the monthly plan includes hosting, support, unlimited updates and a full redesign after two years. If you can pay upfront and are happy to budget for a redesign later, paying once costs less.
